Water cycle household air source heat pump is one type of
household heat pump. Between water tank and heat pump, the cycle
liquid is water. So condenser is in heat pump, we call it
double-pipe heat exchanger.
The whole Reverse Carnot Cycle is in heat pump, it consists of
1. Compressor, 2. Condenser, 3. Throttle unit, 4. Evaporator
The cycle details is:
1). In compressor, refrigerant gas temp increases much.
2). In condenser. Between water and refrigerant, it’s copper pipe.
Refrigerant, gas → liquid, releases latent heat.
Water gets heat, increase temp.
3). In throttle unit. Very small parts refrigerant liquid
evaporate, most part still liquid, temp drop much, more or less as
temp increase in compressor.
4). In evaporator,
Refrigerant, liquid → gas, absorb heat.
Air release heat, temp drops.
From evaporator, refrigerant gas returns compressor again, a cycle
We can see from the cycle, refrigerant experienced twice state of
matter change, when state of matter change, substance must get or
release plenty heat. And there is a compress and expanse process,
at the two processes, refrigerant temp change much, but state of
matter doesn’t change.
Use electric to drive compressor work. Under hot water working
mode, the main heat is not from electric, but from air. Refrigerant
is heat transfer media. It transfers heat from air to water. Q1
from air + W from compressor=Q heat release to water. Normally,
